Q1. How do you claim your papads are preservative free?

Answer. We use silica gel Food grade 1gm sachet with every 10pcs khichiya papad packet and 5 gm sachet with every 500gm packet in udad papad to increase the shelf life of papads .(⚠ DON’T CONSUME SHACHET INSIDE IT)

Q2. Why are your Udad papads dark in color & thick?

Answer. Our Udad papads are gluten free (No Maida) ,we use pure udad dal without maida ,hence our papads are thicker &slightly dark in color than other papads available in market. Click here to try out

Q3. What is the %(percentage) of Moringa leaf powder in Chokha Moringa khichiya papads ?

Answer.We use 1% powder in chokha Moringa khichiya papads

Q4. How do you increase shelf life of papad?

Answer. We increase the shelf life of our khichiya papads with proper drying and by using of silica gel sachets .

Q5 How to get best result of Papads ?

Answer. To get best result, please keep opened khichiya pappads for 20 minutes in sunlinght or under fan for 1 hour before consuming.

Q6 Can food grade used silicas gel sachets be reused for non food purpose ?

Answer. Yes, food grade silica gel sachets can safely be reused for non-food purposes ,as long as they are :-

✔ Still Intact (no leak or tear)
✔Not contaminated by oil , food particles , no moisture

🍴NEW RECIPE USING KHICHIYA PAPADS 🍜

1. Masala Khichiya Papad (Papad Chaat)

A vibrant, street-style take!

Ingredients:

  • 1-2 roasted or fried khichiya papads
  • 1 small onion (finely chopped)
  • 1 small tomato (finely chopped)
  • 1 small boiled potato (diced)
  • 2 tbsp nylon sev
  • 2 tbsp chopped coriander
  • 1 green chili (finely chopped, optional)
  • Chaat masala
  • Red chili powder
  • Lemon juice
  • Tamarind chutney & green chutney

Instructions:

  1. Roast or fry the papads until crispy.
  2. Top with chopped onion, tomato, potato.
  3. Drizzle with tamarind and green chutneys.
  4. Sprinkle chaat masala, chili powder, and salt.
  5. Add sev and fresh coriander.
  6. Squeeze lemon juice over and serve immediately (to keep it crisp).

2. Cheese Khichiya Papad

Perfect fusion-style party snack!

Ingredients:

  • Khichiya papad (roasted)
  • Grated cheese (mozzarella or processed cheese)
  • Mixed bell peppers (finely chopped)
  • Jalapeños or olives (optional)
  • Oregano, chili flakes
  • Tomato ketchup or pizza sauce

Instructions:

  1. Roast papad and lay it flat.
  2. Spread a thin layer of pizza sauce or ketchup.
  3. Sprinkle chopped veggies and cheese.
  4. Microwave for 20-30 seconds (just until cheese melts).
  5. Sprinkle oregano and chili flakes.
  6. Serve warm and gooey.

3. Khichiya Papad Nachos

A desi twist on nachos.

Ingredients:

  • Fried khichiya papads (broken into nacho-sized pieces)
  • Melted cheese or cheese sauce
  • Salsa (or tomato-onion mix)
  • Sour cream or yogurt
  • Guacamole (optional)
  • Jalapeños, olives

Instructions:

  1. Arrange broken papad pieces on a plate.
  2. Pour warm cheese sauce or sprinkle grated cheese and melt it.
  3. Top with salsa, jalapeños, and other toppings.
  4. Add a dollop of yogurt or sour cream.
  5. Garnish with coriander and serve quickly.

4. Simple Butter-Spiced Papad

Fast & flavorful.

Ingredients:

  • Roasted khichiya papad
  • Melted butter or ghee
  • Red chili powder
  • Cumin powder
  • Salt or black salt

Instructions:

  1. Roast papad.
  2. Mix melted butter with spices.
  3. Brush it lightly over the papad.
  4. Serve as a side with dal rice or chai.

Ingredients:

  • Roasted khichiya papad
  • Finely chopped tomatoes (seeded)
  • Cucumber (finely chopped)
  • Raw mango or pomegranate (optional, for tang)
  • Coriander leaves
  • Green chutney (Jain version – no garlic)
  • Tamarind chutney
  • Chaat masala, cumin powder
  • Lemon juice
  • Nylon sev (Jain-friendly)

Instructions:

  1. Roast the papad.
  2. Top with tomato, cucumber, raw mango or pomegranate.
  3. Drizzle both chutneys.
  4. Sprinkle chaat masala, cumin powder, and lemon juice.

Ingredients:

  • Roasted khichiya papad
